Senior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage project teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of projects.
  2. Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with company IPCD.
  3. Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer projects and ensure project teams are familiar with and follow guidelines.
  4. Manage project reporting, including upstream and downstream reporting in a timely manner.
  5. Regularly audit projects to ensure compliance.
  6. Communicate with project teams regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
  7. Manage project cash flow to be positive throughout the project's life.
  8. Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
  9. Identify and manage risks to mitigate their impact.
Experience and Qualifications
  1. Managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
  2. Resolving technical queries during contracts.
  3. Managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
  4. Assisting in managing variation accounts.
  5. Construction management and liaising with supervision teams.
  6. Site operations, including installation and commissioning.
  7. Value engineering projects to create cost savings.
  8. Coordinating M&E Services installations.
  9. All health and safety requirements during contracts, including compiling method statements and risk assessments.
  10. Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
  11. Contract values ranging from £2m and above.
  12. Degree: BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering – preferable.
  13. BTEC HND Building Services – preferable.
  14. BTEC: HNC Building Services – essential.
  15. BTEC: ONC Building Services – essential.
  16. CSCS card – essential.
  17. SMSTS course – preferable.
  18. Computer Skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
