Key Responsibilities:
- Safely Operate HGV Class 2 Vehicle: The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle to carry out self-loads, handballing, and collections as required.
- Load and Unload Pallets: The driver will load and unload pallets and goods at customer locations, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Vehicle Inspections: The candidate will perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with all legal requirements.
- Driving Regulations: The driver will adhere to all driving regulations, including maintaining accurate records using their Tachograph Card.
- Customer Service: The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service during collections, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Health and Safety: The driver will follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Category C License: The ideal candidate will have a valid Category C License (HGV Class 2).
- Tachograph Card and CPC Card: The driver will require a Tachograph Card and CPC Card.
- Driving Record: The candidate will have no more than 6 points on their driving license.
- Experience: Experience in self-loading, handballing, and collections is preferred.
- Knowledge: The driver will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations and safe driving practices.
- Time Management: The successful candidate will be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
