Therapy Clinical Support Worker

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Therapy teams at North Devon District Hospital, assisting Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff in delegated duties.
As a Therapy Clinical Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting patients with mobility, personal care assessments, equipment ordering, discharge planning, and progressing rehabilitation goals.
You will work across the Medical and Surgical wards, collaborating with an integrated team of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff.

Requirements
- Able to demonstrate experience in Healthcare, with transferrable skills into Therapy.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Good at working in a team.

- Good at listening and supporting patients with their goals.
- Enthusiastic to learn.
- Work flexibly and adapt to a busy working environment.

- Able to therapeutically handle patients in relation to assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Able to communicate with the appropriate response and manner to both patients and carers/family during emotional times.
Training and Development
We offer a training post for candidates, which would be a Therapy Clinical Support Worker (Band 2) until competencies have been met.
