Aerospace Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our Test and Development department at Safran Seats' Cwmbran test facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and executing tests for our aircraft interior products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute tests for aircraft interior products, including static and cyclic tests
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, construct, and review test apparatus and equipment
- Monitor, record, and process test data using various instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Prepare and review technical reports and manipulate spreadsheet data to support test results and recommendations
- Higher National Certificate or comparable experience within the aerospace industry
- 4 years or greater working in Aerospace or comparable industry
- Organisational and planning skills with ability to manage and meet deadlines and work effectively with different functions and levels of responsibility
- Experience of working to industry standards and codes, including ACs, ARPs, and Aerospace Standards
- Good understanding of mechanical structures and load paths
- Defining new standards in static and cyclic tests methods
- Working knowledge of Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems
- Able to prepare and review concise technical reports, and manipulate spreadsheet data
- Experience in utilisation and calibration of various types of test instrumentation
- PLC programming experience (e.g. CX programmer / Omron)
- Proficient in root cause analysis (4D/8D/Ishikawa)
