Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom The Multiplayer Group (MPG) Full time
Job Title: Principal Game Environment Designer

The Multiplayer Group (MPG) is seeking a skilled Principal Game Environment Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality game environments and levels for our AAA projects.

About the Role:
As a Senior Level Designer at MPG, you will help develop and deliver high-quality gameplay and level assemblies for our co-development partners. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing level designs, iterating them into high-quality environments for partner games. Your mission will be to create engaging and immersive game worlds that meet our partners' vision and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Designing and creating game levels, from concept to release, ensuring they meet our partners' requirements and quality standards. Creating rapid, malleable blockout geometry in Unreal or Unity, sourcing plenty of gameplay feedback to lock it down. Implementing available mechanics, triggering actions, setting up basic camera work and NPC/combat encounters for general progression. Receiving, digesting, and solving high-level feedback into work that the team can action. Working with production and the team directly to ensure outcome is to a release-quality standard. Communicating frequently with internally and externally on progress, scope, quality, and risk. Actively participating in design specific discussions and design reviews.

Requirements:
You're highly experienced in all areas of level design, having taken levels from conception to release. Previous experience working in a Senior Level Designer position, contributing to at least one shipped title. A passion for making and playing a broad range of games. Experience prototyping game mechanics using UE Blueprints. Excellent communication skills, with the ability and desire to work in creative and collaborative environments. Experience in writing and explaining high-quality level design documentation, demonstrable with portfolio materials.

What We Offer:
A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on experience. Flexible working arrangements, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. Opportunities for professional growth and development, as part of our people-first culture.
