Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

AWE plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the world-class Orion Laser Facility, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across our Engineering & Science functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions, including conceptual designs, detail designs, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Lead and advise electrical engineers in the delivery of innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Ensure technical needs are understood, options are considered, and appropriate solutions are implemented within programme constraints.
  • Make evidence-based professional engineering decisions to solve technical problems within your area of responsibility.
  • Lead SME for all electrical systems within a set boundary.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to achieve appropriate levels of competency.
  • Planning and directing electrical maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • An HND or Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical discipline, or relevant proven experience.
  • Proven experience of delivering projects with a consideration for quality, time, and cost.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
