Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our Probate department in providing support to our solicitors and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be proficient in using various office software applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant information to support solicitors and clients
- Draft high-quality legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Organise and maintain up-to-date legal files with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist solicitors and other fee earners in preparing for meetings and court appearances
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other professionals via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions
- Manage correspondence and emails professionally and promptly
- Perform administrative tasks within the legal office with a focus on efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other relevant software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly
- Good time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality
- IT proficiency to handle electronic filing systems and legal databases securely and efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients at their most vulnerable
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £28,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Fqps offers a competitive benefits package, including company pension, free parking, and sick pay.
