Videojet Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our small, high-performing multi-discipline design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the full life cycle of hardware development from design requirements to product launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new products and product enhancements, ensuring 'design for assembly / design for manufacture' criteria.
- Conduct functional testing of hardware and software, accurately documenting and reporting results.
- Support manufacturing queries and new production introductions, including occasional domestic and international travel.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in process and procedures.
- Maintain safe and organized work areas, ensuring availability and functionality of tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND in engineering/manufacturing or equivalent vocational training.
- Practical experience in light engineering, ideally with both mechanical and electrical assembly capabilities.
- Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using CAD software an advantage.
- Basic machining experience and an understanding of workshop safety an advantage.
