At Allied Bakeries, we are seeking a skilled Regional Driver Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training services and programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement an annual training plan for CPC refresher dates, manual handling sessions, and OH assessments for existing and new employees.
  • Train and assess new starters and agency workers, ensuring adherence to training procedures and SSOW.
  • Monitor agency inductions and ensure the correct manual handling material is being used for training.
  • Collaborate with the Department Manager to deliver the Priority Risk Assessment for Logistics, including regular auditing of standards.
  • Manage departmental tachograph training and support infringement management.
  • Investigate accident damage and RTA incidents, and support delivery of corrective actions.
  • Monitor manual handling operations and report back on observations and trends.
  • Communicate key messages from the Driver Safety Charter and other initiatives aimed at driving functions, controls, and behavioral measures.
  • Lead communication on the working time directive and its impact on drivers.
  • Report on driver-related KPIs, such as hazards, audits, and training position.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Driver CPC certification.
  • Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, newsletters, and PowerPoint.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a driver in a commercially challenging, results-driven, FMCG environment.
