The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pluripotent Stem Cell Research Specialist to join its Human Models Core team.

As a Senior Pluripotent Stem Cell Research Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining high-quality human pluripotent stem cell lines for research purposes. You will work closely with scientists across the institute to support their research needs and provide technical expertise in stem cell culture, quality control, and genome editing.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in quality control of pluripotent stem cells, molecular biology techniques, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell biology or a related field and be able to teach and demonstrate techniques to other scientific staff.

In this role, you will also contribute to the development of new research methods and strategies and collaborate with other teams to drive innovation and excellence in stem cell research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality human pluripotent stem cell lines for research purposes
  • Support scientists across the institute with technical expertise in stem cell culture, quality control, and genome editing
  • Contribute to the development of new research methods and strategies
  • Collaborate with other teams to drive innovation and excellence in stem cell research

Requirements:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in cell biology or a related field
  • Extensive experience in quality control of pluripotent stem cells and molecular biology techniques
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
