Project Controls Risk Management Specialist

The Project Controls Risk Management Specialist will deliver project controls in the Eastern Ro-Ro Terminal Project in Immingham. This role will focus on risk control and management processes, including cost, planning, and production control and reporting. The specialist will maintain works/cost/risk breakdown structures, align risks with P6 activities (using Primavera), and assess, model, maintain, and report risks and trends in collaboration with package managers and commercial managers, identifying baseline deviations and facilitating corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and developing work, cost, and risk breakdown structures.
• Facilitating the implementation of general project controls management processes, with a particular focus on the risk management system.
• Implementing risk management procedures and keeping the risk management plan up-to-date.
• Coordinating the linkage between the programme, estimate, cost, and risk management systems using project software (i.e., P6 and Prism).
• Developing and maintaining regularly the project risk register, producing periodic risk reports, and facilitating risk management to SPMs.
• Dealing with variations and change control processes to maintain the performance measurement baseline.
• Conducting cost checks, analysing trends, and identifying risks. Helping risk owners to assess risk costs.
• Liaising with different stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to processes.
• Supporting the preparation of presentation materials for performance measurement updates, with a particular focus on risk.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
• Proven ability to use IT systems, mainly advanced Excel.
• Understanding of contract types and how to compile contract documentation.
• Understanding of techniques for project planning, risk management, cost control.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of EVA techniques.
• Knowledge of risk management processes and cost risk assessment.
Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience:
• Previous relevant experience in cost, planning, and risk management environments.
• Previous relevant experience in construction and a good understanding of other functions within project controls.
