Academic Support Practitioner

We are currently working with an excellent school in the North Liverpool area, who are in need of an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team. The school is set in a state-of-the-art building, with an emphasis on innovative teaching based on traditional values.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting Children with Special Needs: You will work alongside class teachers and your new colleagues to promote a stimulating, inclusive, and accessible learning environment, offering 1:1 and group support in all subjects.
- Classroom Management and Behaviour Support: You will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour, implementing strategies to promote positive relationships, and supporting teachers in maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Intervention and Booster Sessions: You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions and booster sessions, helping students to catch up with their peers and achieve their full potential.
- Phonics and Literacy Support: You will provide one-to-one and group support to students who require additional help with phonics and literacy skills.
- Experience: You will need experience of successfully supporting primary-age pupils, with relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with children.
- Professional Relationships: You will need a clear understanding of appropriate professional relationships and protocols when working with pupils and parents.
- Teamwork: You will need to be able to work as a team alongside the Class Teacher and other Teaching Assistants.
- Flexibility: You will need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
