About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of industrial gas turbines.

This is a challenging position that requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer to develop innovative solutions to replace obsolete and outdated auxiliary equipment on industrial gas turbines, ensuring the continued reliability and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. System Upgrades: Apply the latest systems and technologies in relation to the gas turbine package auxiliary equipment to enhance the performance and reliability of our products.
  2. Technical Interface: Provide a technical interface with internal departments, regional divisions, customers, and suppliers to ensure that project upgrades are implemented within allocated budgets and timescales.
  3. Standardisation and Documentation: Standardise and document solutions that can be applied in a consistent manner.
  4. Obsolescence Management: Identify and source replacements for individual components and/or systems to maintain the functionality of our equipment.
  5. Product Improvement: Propose and implement package upgrades aimed at preventing future issues, enhancing the overall product lifecycle.
  6. Fault Resolution: Address and rectify issues in the field by analysing fault reports and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, accredited by the Engineering Council.
  • Experience: Several years of proven experience in a Fluid Systems or equivalent role within an associated or similar industry.
  • Skills: A fundamental understanding of fluid mechanics, excellent communication and coordination abilities, and experience in SAP and MS Office Suite.
