About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Specialist to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Data Quality Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data held across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Data Quality Team in monitoring and promoting data quality throughout the Trust, identifying areas of concern and implementing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed data quality guidance documents, including departmental policies and procedures, to ensure consistency and compliance across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme to ensure patient-related data is accurate and complete, enabling reliable reporting to support clinical and business processes.
  • Work with local teams to adapt and improve systems and procedures around data collection, input, audit, and analysis to meet the needs of the teams.
  • Provide support to the Data Quality Improvement Manager and stand-in as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Awareness of current NHS issues and experience of working with a wide range of staff at all levels.
  • Proven success in delivering against objectives and deadlines, with experience of PAS/EPR systems and data quality activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Strong understanding of NHS data flows, analytical tools, and databases, with the ability to extract and manipulate large datasets.
