The Role – What We're Looking For

We're seeking a skilled Associate Cost Consultant to support project leaders in delivering high-quality service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, and capturing and sharing knowledge across projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients
  • Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments
  • Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for project completion
  • Undertake commercial management services with limited supervision
  • Deliver work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients

What We're Looking For in You

  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Private commercial sector experience, ideally in offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit-out, and refurb
  • Expert-level Excel user
  • Proficient in CostX or other cost planning software
  • Sustainability and data skills, including carbon assessment and Power BI
  • Contract administration skills
  • Pre- and post-contract experience
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
