Education and Community Outreach Officer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to take on the role of Education and Community Outreach Officer. This exciting opportunity will see you engage and educate the public through face-to-face and digital delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering inspiring and informative outreach sessions to a range of community and school audiences.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the outreach programme within Yorkshire and the Humber by building new and maintaining existing links with schools, colleges, and community groups.
  • Participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), training, and team meetings with colleagues to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Parliament.

Requirements and Benefits

  • An ability to network, with a proven track record of initiating and maintaining effective working relationships with schools, third sector bodies and networks, campaigning organisations, or community groups in Yorkshire and the Humber.
  • An understanding and knowledge of working across an education setting or community setting.
  • 30 days' annual leave (increasing to 35 days after first full leave year).

Salary and Contract Information

The estimated salary for this role is £34,980 per annum, with a fixed-term contract of 2 years with the possibility of extension or permanency.
