We are seeking a Consultant Otolaryngologist to join our team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and University of Aberdeen Medical Institutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with an established group of seven consultants, contributing to the full range of services provided by the department. These services cover adult and paediatric care for a population exceeding 500,000 in the Grampian, Orkney, and Shetland regions.
A sub-specialty interest in Head and Neck surgery is preferred, encompassing both benign and malignant conditions. Our Head and Neck service is delivered through a multidisciplinary team setting, supported by various specialties including Maxillofacial surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Speech and Language Therapy, Restorative Dentistry, Specialist Cancer Nursing, and Dietetics. We have three Da Vinci surgical robots, and approval has been granted for the development of a robotic Head and Neck service. The successful postholder will be encouraged to play a pivotal role in this service's establishment.
