Materials Science Teacher

Wayman Learning Trust invites applications from skilled Materials Science teachers to fill a full-time, permanent position teaching Resistant Materials in West London. As a member of our dynamic faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students, guiding them in the development of essential skills and knowledge in Resistant Materials.
About the Role:- Curriculum Implementation: Deliver high-quality Resistant Materials lessons that align with the National Curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of students in all year groups.
- Learning Environment: Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking, preparing students for future success in academia and industry.
- Assessment and Feedback: Develop and implement fair and transparent assessment methods to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students grow and improve.
- Collaboration and Professional Development: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Design Technology department to share best practices, resources, and expertise, enhancing overall teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Student Support: Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
- Qualifications: Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Resistant Materials or a closely related subject.
- Teaching Philosophy: Demonstrates a clear passion for teaching Resistant Materials, employing innovative and engaging instructional methods to captivate students' interest and promote deep understanding.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, effectively navigating diverse learning environments and fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Safeguarding: Commits to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that respects the dignity and rights of all individuals.
- Continuous Improvement: Embraces ongoing professional development, staying current with advancements in Resistant Materials education and applying this knowledge to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Salary and Benefits: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
