Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Flexible Manufacturing Worker – Machinist to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Huddersfield, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.
You will work closely with our experienced team members to manufacture and assemble products that meet customer expectations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrating a high level of competency in core work skills.
- Achieving production goals.
- Working at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
- Maintaining clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering apprenticeship or 5 years experience CNC machining in an engineering environment. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to set and program equipment as needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Engineering apprenticeship or 5 years experience CNC machining in an engineering environment.
