Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

The RoleAs a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer at Cloudsmith Ltd, you will be responsible for developing secure coding standards and practices, building upon our existing security testing frameworks and procedures, and implementing security controls for our distributed systems.
- You will work closely with our team to develop and deliver security training materials, contribute to security policies and standards, and help evaluate and implement new security tools and technologies.
- Additionally, you will perform security code reviews and penetration testing of our codebases, enhance our security monitoring solutions using DataDog and AWS Security Hub, and strengthen our secure deployment pipelines using CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 7+ years of security engineering experience or equivalent.
- Deep expertise in application security and secure software development.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with familiarity in TypeScript/Node.js or similar.
- Extensive experience with cloud security (AWS-based, preferably), web application security, database security, and threat modeling and risk assessment.
This role offers a competitive salary (£80,000 - £105,000 per annum) based on location, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, annual leave, and flexible working policies.
