We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Business Partner Specialist to join our team at E3 Recruitment. As an Environmental Health & Safety Business Partner Specialist, you will be vital in fostering a safe work environment, adhering to regulatory standards, and managing various aspects of EHS.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Promote a culture of health and safety awareness throughout the organization through effective communication, employee engagement, and targeted programs.
  • Ensure that plant management teams understand the interdependencies between on-the-job and off-the-job safety, occupational and non-occupational health, compensation claims, and medical costs.
  • Develop and recommend formal programs and policies to establish a safe work environment.
  • Educate employees on ergonomic concepts, evaluate the need for workplace ergonomics, and foster an effective and participatory ergonomic culture.
  • Identify, evaluate, manage, and minimize environmental risks to safeguard the well-being of our workforce.
  • Coordinate and conduct thorough incident investigations.
  • Conduct comprehensive Health and Safety inductions for new employees.

Wellbeing:

  • Develop targeted programs and procedures aimed at reducing occupational and non-occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with HR to design comprehensive wellness programs tailored to the specific needs of our plant population.
  • Manage the Gym facility, including providing inductions and ensuring its smooth operation.

Legislative Compliance:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative standards by developing and implementing training programs covering industrial safety, industrial hygiene, emergency planning, government regulations, hazardous materials, COSHH, and other related areas.

Environmental:

  • Manage and ensure compliance with environmental regulations within our organization.
  • Integrate waste management, minimization, and recycling practices at all stages of product development and production processes.

Fire & Security:

  • Ensure the effectiveness of fire protection and security systems, including Access Control, Fire Alarm System, Site Security, CCTV, and coordinate with internal and external contractors.
  • Provide adequate training to all facility personnel to enable efficient emergency response.

Reporting:

  • Take ownership of business KPIs by implementing effective control measures and developing action plans for improvement.
  • Prepare accurate reports and analyses for all levels of the division and corporation.
  • Lead HSE meetings with safety representatives to discuss and address relevant issues.
  • Conduct regular reporting on Health and Safety, environmental compliance, and energy management.

Auditing:

  • Manage internal audits by planning, escalating identified issues, and ensuring appropriate follow-up for non-conformities in accordance with ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
  • Oversee external audits by coordinating preparation, execution, and follow-up actions to address any identified areas of improvement.
