Job Title: HR Manager

Compact Security Services Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for delivering efficient HR services to our company and affiliated businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage HR operations, including end-to-end recruitment processes, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver strategic HR projects aligned with the business strategy.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers to ensure a people-centered approach to maximize performance and consistent standards of service delivery.
  • Review and update policies and procedures as required.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee welfare and wellbeing engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to UK employment legislation and best practice.
  • Monitor and review training compliance.
  • Co-ordinate and manage performance review processes.
  • Coach and support the Recruitment and Vetting team in their development and daily responsibilities.
  • Oversee team benefits programs and employee rewards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records.
  • Prepare and manage HR reports and KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR manager role, ideally within an SME or multi-site environment in the security, events, hospitality, or cleaning/facilities management sectors.
  • Experience of high-volume recruitment.
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification as a minimum.
  • People-focused with a hands-on approach and the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Confidence to proactively manage employee relations, end-to-end recruitment, and HR and scheduling systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices, including TUPE.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work under pressure.
  • Proven experience and success supporting and coaching managers through team development initiatives and employee relations issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required, along with the ability to travel within the UK to support on-site event teams, including some overnight stays away from home.
