Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at GSL Education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of education for our students in the absence of their regular teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ensure that students remain on task with the work set by the regular teacher, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage classroom behaviour, using effective strategies to promote good behaviour and minimize disruptions.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and school management to ensure effective cover arrangements, maintaining open communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and other school staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
