Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in maintaining critical infrastructure. As a Tunnel Maintenance Operative, you will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and contractors to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of our tunnels and pump stations.

About the Role

In this role, you will drive tunnel vehicles on planned maintenance closures or reactive works, assist Tunnel Maintenance Technicians with maintenance tasks, complete daily worksheets and maintenance report sheets, provide escort to sub-contractors ensuring site rule compliance, and carry out manual, semi-skilled or skilled work of any trade under the Tunnel Maintenance Supervisor's instructions.

Requirements

  • A clean UK driver's license is required, as well as a HGV Class 1 or 2 professional driving license. IPAF trained for MEWPS & Booms is preferred, as well as confined space trained.
  • A CSCS Safety Card or equivalent is also necessary.
  • You should be able to work without direct supervision when requested.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: Based in the South East region
