Learning Support Assistant

Reed Further Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic Student Support Team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing support to students aged 16-19 with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with students with additional needs to provide tailored support and assistance.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans.
  • Facilitate an inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse requirements of students.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to students to help them achieve their potential.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students/young adults in a high school, college, or support and care setting.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to safeguarding practices.
  • Minimum of GCSE A-C/Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
