Financial Analyst

Rutherford Cross is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to develop their skill set and add value to a growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing financial data to provide insights that support business profitability and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales margin analysis, variance analysis on forecast vs budget, and communicating financial data to non-financial stakeholders. They will also have strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial data analysis, as well as proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sales and margin analysis, identifying variances from forecasts and addressing live issues.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and inventory review/control.
• Support the creation of the annual budget and updates to forecasts.
• Partner with Regional Directors, providing timely and relevant financial insights.
• Forecast supplier and customer rebates, and calculate standards for manufacturing cost recoveries.
• Produce analysis packs on the performance of business units, regions, and branches.
• Submit monthly results and rolling forecasts to Group FP&A.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to a rapidly changing environment.

Renumeration

• Up to £40k - study support available for the right candidate.
