Supporting Students with SEND:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to support young people with varying disabilities. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teaching staff to assist with the development and learning of students within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support with the development and learning of students within the school
  • Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
  • Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behaviour policies
  • Manage behaviour (Team Teach training offered)
  • Assist with personal care and moving and handling in certain schools

Requirements:

  • A patient and understanding approach
  • An interest and passion in supporting SEND students to achieve better outcomes
  • A flexible approach and open nature
  • Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND is preferred but not essential
  • Team Teach or Moving and Handling training preferred but not essential
