Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Special Needs Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will provide support to children with additional needs, including Speech and Language Support and Reception Administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children with additional needs in a classroom setting
- Assist with Speech and Language Support to help children develop communication skills
- Perform administrative tasks related to Reception, such as data entry and record-keeping
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with children with additional needs
- Flexibility, approachability, and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the children and the school
- Organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A positive outlook and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children
