Detailed Job Description and Key Responsibilities

This is a fixed-term role, and for those with current NHS service, the position will be offered on a secondment basis only. Prior to submitting an application, please obtain permission to be released on a secondment.

Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills, and Training
  1. Essential Criteria:
    1. Hold a degree or diploma in a relevant field
    2. Be a member of the Health Professions Council
    3. Be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
Job-Specific Experience
  1. Essential Criteria:
    1. Experience working in a community clinic
    2. Experience working within a mainstream school
    3. Some general administrative duties
  2. Desirable Criteria:
    1. Previous experience as a qualified SLT band 6 in an NHS setting
    2. Evidence of developing an area of specialism
Additional Requirements
  1. Essential Criteria:
    1. Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, sufficient to perform the role effectively
    2. Subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business
Managerial / Supervisory Experience
  1. Essential Criteria:
    1. Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
  2. Desirable Criteria:
    1. Experience of devising and delivering training
