Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes excellent pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and flexible working options.
Job Description
As a Visual Merchandising Specialist - Store Design, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering interior design and building projects across the business, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
- Surveying buildings at the feasibility stage and preparing 2D plans, elevations, and drawings using CAD software (Vectorworks).
- Developing 3D models, signage schemes, and colour presentations for internal and external use.
- Ensuring all drawings comply with current planning and building regulations, and managing Planning and Building Control applications.
- Collaborating with external project managers, consultants, and design professionals to deliver high-quality results.
- Briefing graphics and marketing teams for artwork required for shopfront opening vinyls and In-store Imagery.
- Snagging and signing off completed projects, and reviewing store environment and design to identify improvements.
- Undertaking research to establish suitable construction methods and materials, aligning with Joules' goal of creating a more sustainable shop fit.
- Managing seasonal updates of in-store imagery allocations and supporting the VM team with new store openings and internal setups.
- Liaising with other internal departments, external agencies, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Traveling within the UK and abroad to support project requirements.
Requirements

- CAD experience using Vectorworks or alternative software.
- Experience within a similar role, ideally with an interior design background.
Working Environment
You will be based at 'The Barn', our purpose-built Head Office in Leicestershire, with occasional travel to stores and project sites. Our open-plan working environment is designed to foster collaboration and creativity, providing a stimulating space to grow and develop your skills.
