Job Title: HGV Driver

We are seeking experienced Class 1 & 2 Drivers to join our team at The Best Connection in Preston. Our company offers a variety of jobs surrounding the North West area.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
  • Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and follow all job directives precisely to ensure timely and professional service.
  • Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced efficiently.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Perform trunking runs to regional hubs to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload goods to ensure efficient logistics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/2 Driver (HGV) license.
  • Class 1/2 driver experience.
  • Must have a clean license.
  • Verifiable references.
Compensation:
  • £13.50ph to £18ph (Holiday pay is accrued & not rolled into hourly rate).
  • Monday to Friday (Days/Nights).
  • Weekends (Days/Nights).

These positions are ongoing and offer stability for the right candidates. We are happy to discuss new passes.

Benefits:
  • Hourly rate as above (not age dependent).
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday).
  • Ongoing Assignment.
  • Weekend Work.
