About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist, Ratings to join our carbon credit ratings team at BeZero Carbon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching the science and evidence behind different types of projects and developing our ratings and analytical models for the voluntary carbon market.

The ideal candidate will have an academic background in environmental and/or natural sciences, strong written and spoken communication skills, and a strong research background and analytical skills. You will also be comfortable speaking to high-level clients and external stakeholders and have a strong understanding of the voluntary carbon market and the risks offset projects face.

  • Research offset projects in the voluntary carbon market
  • Expand and develop our ratings and analytical models for the sector
  • Curate our literature database
  • Write research reports on market trends and dynamics
  • Attend conferences and events representing BeZero Carbon
  • Work towards monthly targets through delivery of ratings, reviews, and content
