At Modus, we're a dynamic and innovative company that prioritizes both professional growth and employee well-being. We're seeking a talented Product Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality, contract furniture products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external design partners and operational teams to deliver innovative product solutions.
- Create and control high-standard engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Liaise with clients and manage projects from prototype to production.
- Produce CNC drawings/programmes for joinery and upholstery.
- Develop technical specifications, SOPs, and quality standards for all products and packaging.
- Drive lean production and engineering improvements for enhanced profitability.
- Develop and maintain ERP database content using Winman software.
Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience in manufacturing/product development or a related field.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk suite).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and Lean principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and demands.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passionate, energetic, and a practical thinker.
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience in the workspace furniture sector (preferred but not essential).
