Laundry Valet Role Overview

The Laundry Valet is a key member of the Rooms Department at Raffles London at the OWO, responsible for maintaining and repairing colleague uniforms to the highest standards. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair staff uniforms as needed, ensuring all garments are clean and in good condition.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns regarding uniform with the Laundry Manager or Assistant Executive.
  • Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in proper working order, reporting any malfunctions or defects to the relevant team members.
  • Keep the uniform area clean and tidy, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
  • Monitor the quality of returned guest garments, uniform, and chef wear from outside contractors.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, pressing guest garments and staff uniforms as directed by the Laundry Manager or Assistant Housekeeper Manager.
  • Follow the Lost Property procedure, ensuring all lost items are properly accounted for and returned to their owners.
