About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental and Sustainability Officer to join our dynamic team at Scottish Sea Farms. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and protecting Scotland's marine environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for aquaculture projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and liaising effectively with Scottish Planners and the Environment Agency.
  • Review and mentor ex-graduate case officers, providing guidance and training to support their professional development.
  • Negotiate and collaborate with planners to ensure successful project delivery, reviewing and approving EIAs to provide expert feedback and support project goals.

Requirements:

  • Experience within Environmental Impact Assessment in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of sustainability and environmental protection principles.
  • Excellent mentoring, training, and leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental protection, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and contributing to the success of our team.
