About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Shift Manager to lead our engineering shift team and drive a high-performing culture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing shift workload, executing preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering shift team to achieve production targets and maximize machinery uptime.
  • Plan and prioritize shift workload to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize disruption to production.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead by example and encourage team members to develop and achieve their potential.
  • Document shift activities and performance, and contribute to daily meetings.
Requirements
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification gained through a time-served apprenticeship or study.
  • Knowledge of permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Supervisory experience and practical experience of fault-finding on manufacturing machinery.
  • PLC awareness and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Understanding of engineering systems within a manufacturing environment.
