Job Title: Transport Planner

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network, managing and allocating deliveries, and optimizing fleet operations. This role requires effective communication with plants, hauliers, and customer service representatives, as well as monitoring and adjusting plans to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate deliveries to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
  • Optimize fleet operations to minimize costs and maximize productivity
  • Communicate effectively with plants, hauliers, and customer service representatives to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and adjust plans to meet customer needs and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage order renegotiations, returned orders, and capacity planning to minimize disruptions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport planning, including working with transport management systems
  • Good geographical and road network knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to providing the best possible customer experience
  • Desirable: experience with SAP modules

What We Offer:

A permanent contract with an annual salary of £30,000, on-site work with some flexibility for hybrid working. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience within the transport and planning sector.
