Join Our Team as a Landscape Architect or Assistant Landscape Architect

Are you passionate about the role of landscape planning and design in addressing climate change? If so, our opportunity for a Landscape Architect or Assistant Landscape Architect could be perfect for you. You will be working in a collaborative team on a range of projects across sectors, including strategic land, regeneration, leisure, residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, renewable energy infrastructure, highways, and water schemes. The role can be based in our Bristol, Reading, or Manchester offices, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.

As a Landscape Architect or Assistant Landscape Architect, you will provide creative landscape planning and design input across projects. You will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with Landscape Architects and colleagues from across our multi-disciplinary teams. You'll play an important part in contributing to the project work of our Landscape Architecture team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing landscape and townscape appraisals and contributing to impact assessments.
  • Preparing landscape conceptual, outline, and detailed designs and contributing to the creation of environmental mitigation design proposals.
  • Undertaking field and visual survey work for projects across the UK.
  • Inputting to or preparing landscape specifications and management plans.


We are a Registered Practice of the Landscape Institute, and we will help you further develop your career, working within a supportive environment and alongside around 60 landscape professionals across the UK. You may have recently achieved your chartership or currently be progressing on the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership (P2C). Support and mentoring will be provided for your P2C and career development for those that require it.

Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree plus post-graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture or relevant subject, or a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, and post-graduate work experience within a landscape architecture practice or working on landscape projects within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Knowledge of current UK planning and environmental assessment legislation.
  • The ability to develop designs, write reports, and be confident working with industry software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) or similar software packages.
