About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Prodrive. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of components and materials for our elite competition cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Planning
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business requirements and ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Supplier Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery adherence.
    • Monitor supplier performance using Prodrive's vendor rating system and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Inventory Management
    • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
    • Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Provide regular procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the Motorsport, R&D, or Automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of IFS business systems and experience with procurement software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
