Job Description

This role at Rooms4u is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in financial and accounting practices within a multifaceted property business. The position requires an individual who is both detail-oriented and analytically skilled, with a background in managing financial systems, particularly Xero, and handling end-to-end accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and Enhance Financial Systems: Ensure smooth operations by implementing and enhancing financial systems.
  • Support Senior Teams: Contribute to formulating growth strategies and business plans with senior teams.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of accounts assistants and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Client Invoicing and Payments: Manage client invoicing, payments, and maintain accurate accounts.
  • Transaction Verification: Perform transaction verification, account maintenance, and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare VAT returns, oversee payroll, and manage month-end close processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Compile schedules, statements, and necessary financial reports.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest updates to accounting systems to drive improvements.
  • Junior Team Supervision: Supervise a junior admin team to implement and streamline processes.
Requirements:
  • Xero Experience: Strong experience with Xero is required.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build close relationships with senior management to understand and fulfil their needs.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Analytical problem-solver capable of addressing complex issues effectively.
  • Pressure Resilience: Resilient under pressure, well-suited to the demands of a fast-growing company.
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication skills across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.
Job Details:
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £45,000 per annum
  • Benefits: Additional leave, company pension, on-site parking, casual dress, and company events.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
