About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Risk Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Quantitative Risk and Valuations Advisory team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated portfolio of clients and providing expert advice on retail and corporate credit risk.

Our team works closely with clients to deliver a wide range of assignments, from scorecard methods and internal ratings-based models to model validation and regulatory compliance. If you have a strong professional interest in credit risk and a passion for applying mathematical and statistical tools to real-world problems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and provide expert advice on retail and corporate credit risk
  • Develop and implement credit risk models and scorecards
  • Conduct model validation and regulatory compliance reviews
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality assignments and projects
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our team and services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science from a reputable university
  • Significant credit risk experience gained from a major financial institution, professional services firm, or credit ratings agency
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics as applied to finance and credit risk
  • Programming skills in a high-level language (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, Excel VBA) and/or experience with econometric software packages (e.g., STATA, SAS)
