Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Modelling Manager to join our team at KPMG. As a key member of our modelling team, you will be responsible for leading large complex projects and applying technical skills to devise compelling and well-thought-out modelling-based solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and drive the growth and development of the modelling team
  • Lead large complex projects, applying technical skills to devise compelling and well-thought-out modelling-based solutions to complex problems
  • Build constructive working relationships to develop internal and external networks
  • Leverage existing managerial experience and leadership skills to help grow and develop the modelling team
  • Build strong client relationships and effectively take propositions to market
  • Manage teams of modellers and other professionals to provide high-quality and flexible modelling solutions for a diverse range of clients
  • Be responsible for end-to-end engagement and stakeholder management
  • Use existing modelling skills to support delivery, develop capabilities, and share knowledge on solutions and best practice techniques
  • Support the professional development of junior team members, helping to guide their career development and contributing towards organising training
  • Contribute to our business development initiatives and be an integral part of the sales team

Requirements

  • Experience in a senior management role managing projects, clients, and senior stakeholders
  • Experience in developing new strategy and propositions to generate business
  • Advanced Excel skills, preferably with some VBA and data visualisation experience
  • Experience scoping, designing, and building financial models
  • Experience in the application of best-practice modelling
  • Strong communication skills to be able to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships across a range of teams and fostering an environment in which everyone's opinion is valued
  • Experience in performance management and developing & retaining talent
  • Provides on-going feedback, coaching, and mentoring that supports individuals' development needs and career aspirations
  • Proactively engages in cross-functional communications and sharing of information
  • Understanding of financial and accounting concepts or project finance (e.g., debt structures, cash waterfalls, financial ratios)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising workload, and providing a high level of client service at all times

Desirable Experience

  • A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar) is desirable
  • Completion of a recognised financial modelling course
  • Consulting experience
  • Data visualisation experience in Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau
