Cabling Infrastructure Manager

As a Site Manager at ExcelRedstone, you will be responsible for overseeing small to medium-sized cabling projects or elements of large projects under the control of a Project Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing a team of supervisors and engineers to ensure all cable installations meet specification, are completed on time, and meet ExcelRedstone and manufacturer quality standards.

* Ensuring all current Health & Safety requirements are met, including carrying out Risk Assessments, drafting method statements, and ensuring all H&S procedures are followed.

* Managing stock in a cost-effective manner and ensuring sufficient materials are available at all times to ensure efficient installation.

* Ordering materials as required.

* Compiling progress reports as required and/or providing information in a logical format to the Project Manager.

* Carrying out quality checks on all works carried out by cabling engineers and ensuring all required Quality Standards are met.

* Reading and understanding all site drawings, updating 'as and when' when work is completed.

* Attending and documenting client meetings and ensuring all required actions are carried out in a timely manner.

* Compiling process and producing documentation as required to meet company and client standards.

* Drawing up patching schedules and ensuring timely implementation of any patching requirements.

* Ensuring all required installations are documented as specified.

* Drawing up Operations and Maintenance manuals as required.

* Assisting in any urgent installation works as and when required.

* Ensuring project profitability is maximised at all times.

We are looking for a candidate with experience working in the cabling infrastructure industry, a good understanding of cabling installation practices, and the ability to organise teams on a project.

The ideal candidate will also have the ability to manage and motivate engineers, work well under pressure, and deal with high workloads.

A good level of Microsoft knowledge, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is also required.

Good communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for effective communication with clients to identify needs and requirements.
