Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Children's Home Director to lead our 4-bedded home. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring a safe, resilient, caring, and homely environment for young people aged 8-17.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, including clear and effective procedures for monitoring and controlling activities.
  • Ensure the financial viability of the home and manage any serious incidents, allegations, or complaints.
  • Lead a team of staff and provide line management experience, including supervisions.
  • Be registered with Ofsted and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting within the past 5 years.
  • Experience of both regulation 44 visits and OFSTED visits.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce, or equivalent.
  • Hold or be willing to undertake the level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Experience of working in a management role at Deputy level, Interim Manager level, or Registered Manager level within a children's residential care setting.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding.
