Protection Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Protection Manager to join our team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Fire Safety Inspectors, working closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure the development and delivery of activities that improve the safety of communities and the built environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Fire Safety Inspectors to ensure compliance with fire safety laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training to ensure the safety of the public and firefighters.
- Act as a subject matter specialist and provide advice to colleagues, senior officers, and partners on regulatory and business engagement work.
- Work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure the development and delivery of activities that improve the safety of communities and the built environment.
- Lead and manage a team of Fire Safety Inspectors to ensure compliance with fire safety laws and regulations.
- Hold a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or be working towards it, or have a similar qualification from another regulatory discipline.
- Have a curious mind and excellent communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Have experience of leading and developing teams in a regulatory environment.
- Be able to effectively assess risk and make informed decisions, in accordance with all relevant legislation, Government, and organizational guidance.
