Job Title: Funding Controller

12-Month Maternity Contract Opportunity

Lipton Media, a leading events business, seeks a highly accomplished Portfolio Director to cover a maternity leave for 12 months. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future business strategy across our flagship Life Science event portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performance team, ensuring they live our purpose and deliver exceptional results.
  • Deliver the budgeted EBITDA for the business, reporting to the Group Managing Director.
  • Manage the senior management team, including Event Directors, Content Leads, Marketing Directors, and Sales Leads.
  • Implement best practices, adapt inefficient ones, and drive growth in customer metrics.
  • Hit business KPIs around activity, timelines, and quality of product offerings.
  • Develop and deliver the overall 3-year brand strategy with the Event Director and management team.
  • Maintain best-in-class training and onboarding programs.
  • Engage with key industry stakeholders and foster a culture of inclusivity and high performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale event teams globally, preferably in expos.
  • Extensive knowledge of content production, sales, and marketing in expos and conferences.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of delivering sales revenue against targets and managing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrable project management skills in confex-based events.
  • Ability to build rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives and external stakeholders.
