Job Title: Coatings Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Specialist to join our team at Pertemps Bond. As a Coatings Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our joinery products are finished to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Sanding, priming, and preparing wood surfaces for painting or staining.
  • Spraying: Applying paint, stains, lacquers, and other finishes using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and a flawless finish.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and finish.
  • Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment and the work area.
  • Health & Safety: Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Coatings Specialist in a joinery or similar environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using various spraying equipment and techniques. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of different types of paint, stains, and finishes, and how they interact with various wood types.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
