As an apprentice, you'll grasp the skills not just to install and repair smart meters, but to make sure our customers are getting the best out of them too. You'll be working for British Gas, a company that's been heating Britain's homes for over 200 years, but we're just getting started.
We're looking for people that are ready to dive headfirst into the world of Smart Metering Installations. You'll need to have a genuine passion for learning a trade, striving for a successful career & providing awesome customer service. A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less is also required.
Here's what's in it for you:
- Starting salary of £15,435 rising to £23,877 at week 52 of your apprenticeship, with further increases to your salary during this time.
- Once you have completed the full programme and aftercare support, your salary will increase to £37,104 with bonus and add-ons on top.
- We also offer London Weighting Allowance ranging from £4000 to £6000 (dependent on location) for living or starting your day within London.
As an Energiser, you get a bumper reward package bursting with benefits including huge discounts on your energy bills and our British Gas & Hive products. Plus, you can choose from loads of extras to add in if you wish.

We are currently looking for apprentices in the following areas: North West England, Central England & the Midlands, South West England, South East England, East England, and London – Multiple areas.
