Job Title: Valuation Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Valuation Manager to join our team at Deutsche Bank. As a Valuation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the valuation processes and methodologies to ensure accurate marking of the non-linear books in Europe Core Rates through the Independent Price Verification (IPV) process and the accurate calculation of reserves, prudential valuation, and levelling.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee, review, and critique IPV results to ensure accurate marking of books on a monthly and daily basis
* Be responsible for the accurate calculation of reserves, prudential valuation, and levelling
* Oversee and approve valuation, reserve, and Prudential Capital methodologies ensuring consistency in application globally
* Analyze and manage key valuation uncertainty issues through senior management
* Manage and foster stakeholder relationships across the region including teams in Mumbai

Requirements:

* Experience within a valuations group in a large investment bank, preferably within Rates, though not essential
* Educated to (a minimum of) bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience, a focus in accounting, mathematical, statistical, engineering, or economics would be beneficial
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact collaboratively with the trading staff, senior management, and regulators
* Ability to devise creative solutions to issues as they arise while maintaining a strategic perspective
* Experience with Python, though not essential, would be of advantage
