Job Title: Compliance and Technical Engineer

Location: Telford

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role:

We are working with a leading manufacturing organization to recruit an experienced Compliance and Technical Engineer. This newly created position reflects the company's commitment to strengthening its Engineering and Technical department.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with existing experience in technical standards and compliance to join a thriving business where you will be given the opportunity to be a key point of contact for technical queries and ensure all technical documentation is compliant with relevant standards and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and external regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers
  • Triage and prioritize incoming technical inquiries based on urgency and complexity
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve technical issues
  • Assist with product presentations, demonstrations, and customer visits by providing technical expertise
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to enhance product knowledge
  • Contribute to the creation of technical training materials for internal teams and customers
  • Provide feedback and insights to support product development and improvement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Compliance Engineer or Certification Engineer role within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to undertake technical support duties
  • Experience and proficiency in maintaining technical documentation
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards
  • Engineering-biased qualification such as HNC/HND/BTEC/BEng would be advantageous, but time-served engineering experience will also be considered
  • Experience in CE implementation would be advantageous
